PARADISE POINT SUMMER CAMP The Episcopal Diocese of Idaho McCall, ID Kitchen Staff Job Description: All Kitchen Staff will be cooking in a commercial sized kitchen for groups as large as 125 people. They will prep and cook healthy meals for both children and adults in a resident camp setting. Kitchen staff will also be responsible for the daily and weekly cleaning of the kitchen and dining hall in order to ensure camp is in excellent standings with the Department of Health. They will work with the Kitchen Coordinator to maintain accurate records of all food purchased and stored according to health code standards. Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to perform physical labor Willingness and ability to work 6 days a week Good character, integrity, maturity, adaptability, and teamwork oriented Willingness and ability to live within a close, camp community Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control Model Camp Dress Code Policy (appearance should be appropriate) Maintain positive relationships with campers, parents, and other staff At least 18 years of age
Specific Responsibilities: Responsible for preparation, serving, and clean-up for assigned meals Participates in the delivery process of food and supplies Prepares and serves meals on time as scheduled Ensure that the kitchen meets Health Department requirements at all times (once hired, camp will provide food handler's permits for all kitchen staff members)
Responsible making sure the kitchen, dining hall, and all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained throughout the summer Operate the dishwashing machine in a safe and efficient manner Ensure proper storage of all food Maintain a safe and clean kitchen; follow procedures in regard to camper and staff injuries Know and implement emergency procedures as needed and participate in mandatory drills Inform Kitchen Coordinators of any camper or staff problems, concerns, or issues Other duties as assigned
Responsible To: Kitchen Coordinator Salary Information: $250 per week (meals & lodging included)
