It is all around us. We go to the store and can’t decide what kind of coffee to buy, or color of shirt, or type of cat food. Which is cheaper, less expensive, the better deal, tastes better, fits better, etc. How is it in our Newsletter Spotlight

chance to take advantage of the closeout pricing while

Edgestitch Foot #10 has a metal blade which acts as a guide when stitching along an edge—as when attaching a pocket or edgestitching a collar, or when adding decorative or reinforcing stitching to a seam. The guide is shorter then that of the Blindstitch Foot #5 and does not extend back through the center of the foot. This allows greater maneuverability when stitching curved edges, and provides more contact with the fabric which is especially helpful when working with lightweight fabrics.

Bernina sewing machines have between 5 and 11 different needle positions—one in the center, and 2 to 5 on each side. Edgestitch foot #10 can be used to stitch up to 2mm to the right or left of the center needle position. While Edgestitch Foot #10 is most often associated with straight stitching, it may also be used with zigzag and decorative stitches, since the guide does not extend through the needle opening. For example: add decorative feather stitching to a seam by placing the guide along the seamline. The stitching will automatically be centered on the seam, creating perfectly placed embellishments.
