BREAKFEAST MORNING

Valley Rovers Juvenile GAA Club will hold its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 12/12/2017 at 20.00 in Knockavilla Hall.

U21 PREMIER 1 HURLING Valley Rovers 4.10 V Sarsfields 1.26 On Saturday last Valley Rovers U21 hurlers travelled to Pairc Ui Rinn to take on Sarsfields in the U21 county semi-final. After a tight start which Sars just edged leading by 2 points 0.05 to 0.03 after 12 mins they hit a purple patch scoring 8 points to Valleys 1 in the next 12 mins to leave the score Valleys 0.04 to Sars 0.13, once again the last few minutes of the first half were even and Sars kept their 9 point lead to go in at half time Valleys 0.07 to Sars 0.16. At the start of the 2nd half Sars again hit some super points before Valleys started to fight back 2 quick goals from Rory O’Sullivan and Chris O’Leary had the score back to Valleys 2.07 to Sars 0.21. However Sars up the pace again and seal their win with another 1.04 burst, credit however to our lads as they never gave up scoring 2.03 late on, a goal each from Colm Butler and Chris O’Leary and 2 points from substitute Pa Hurley left the score line Valleys 4.10 V Sars 1.26. Despite this defeat this year must go down as a success for the Valleys U21 Hurlers reaching the County Semi Final. Huge credit to all involved!! Team: Gary Jones Shane O’Leary, Cormac Desmond, Aidan Sheehan
