Our U12's made history on Monday 17/04/2017 when playing in Croke Park as part of Camán to Croker, becoming the first Valley Rovers Camogie team to do. Here are few pictures of the day out, all pictures available on Valley Rovers Camogie Club Facebook page. Many thanks to the parents who travelled and helped in making this a memorable day for the girls.
All girls got game time and the chance to play on Croke Park. It just shows that all the hard work is paying off. Though the coaches were jealous that they didn't get the chance to play on Croke Park in their time, a great day was had by all.

substitute Orla OSullivan followed by points from a free by Ellen Fennelly (foul on Chloe Burton) and Orla O Sullivan, Rovers reduced the deficit to 2. Sadly the clock ran out and kinsale won on a score line of 1:11 to 3:03. This was a great effort by this team, many who doubted their own ability at the start of the year and have already shown that they are well capable of competing in the A grade this year.

On Sunday morning last Valley Rovers girls kicked off their West Cork league campaign with a match against a highly rated kinsale team. Kinsale kicked off with a point but Valleys responded with a goal through Chloe Burton. This was followed up with point by Roisin OSullivan, after a great passing move involving 4 other players. Kinsale continued to tack on the points, however were rocked by another Valleys goal by Kim Muckian from a rebound to leave the score at half time 2:01 to 0:05 in favour of Valleys. The second half turnaround did not favour valleys as kinsale appeared to take over with a number of well taken points and only for outstanding defence by the valleys rearguard, kinsale would have led by a lot more. Unfortunately, powered by their 3 intercounty players, kinsale eventually got through for a goal to led by 6 points with 6 minutes to go. However the girls never say die attitude kicked in and a goal by Page 3 of 5
UNDER 15’s Killeagh Itas 3-10 V’s Valley Rovers 1-14 Our U15's had championship on Thursday last against Killeagh Ita's. Unfortunately it wasn't to be our day. Our backs defended really well to keep us in contention, and some great saves from Dylan Hoey saw it through to a very close game. We went seven points behind early in the second half, but a well taken goal from Conor Callanan saw us back in the game. A pointed free from Jason Cronin brought us level after 60 mins, but there was four mins injury time to be played we were beaten by two points.
