SHELL EGG and EGG PRODUCTS FEATURING Promotional activity for regular shell eggs is considerably less active than a week ago. The average price of Large White eggs, Grade A or better, offered to consumers is trending a few cents higher. Value conscious shoppers will easily find bargains this week as the number of “no price” specials makes a strong comeback this week. Featuring of Extra Large eggs is significantly more active while ads for Medium eggs are steady but almost non-existent. Promotions for specialty eggs decline. Features of omega-3 and vegetarian fed eggs are higher in numbers, however USDA Organic type eggs and cage-free taper off. Featuring of liquid egg products rebounds from last week and is higher with the majority of sales in the Northeast.
