SHELL EGG and EGG PRODUCTS FEATURING Promotional activity for regular shell eggs is about the same as last week. The average price of Large White eggs to consumers, Grade A, or better,. continues trending lower. Shoppers searching for bargains are finding them very limited as retailers have backed off offering "no price" specials. Ads for Extra Large remain sporadic, however advertisements for Medium eggs are showing up more in circulars. Feature activity for specialty shell eggs is significantly lower due to a decline in cage free and USDA Organic features. Featuring of vegetarian fed eggs is constant, however Omega-3 egg features increase in visibility. Promotional activity for liquid eggs is steady. Egg nog promotional activity is lower and noticeably behind last year, but there still time for it to pick up as we move closer to the holiday.
