SHELL EGG and EGG PRODUCTS FEATURING Our offices will be closed Friday November 10 in observance of Veteran’s Day. This report will be released Thursday, November 9th, and will only include advertised prices for outlets ending during the period of November 10 thru November 15. Feature activity for regular shell eggs is lower than the previous week. The average price of Large White eggs to consumers, Grade A, or better, continues trending higher. Grocers are offering a limited number of "no price" incentives this ad cycle. Advertisements for Medium eggs are showing up more, however ads for Extra Large eggs fall sharply from view. Promotional activity for specialty shell eggs is slightly lower. Cage-free eggs are heavily promoted with over half of stores sampled featuring them. USDA Organic egg features are maintaining a steady level of visibility, but Omega-3 and vegetarianfed eggs features decline. Promotional activity for liquid egg products are scarce.
