FMHS ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB MEETING MINUTES Meeting held 5/20/2015 Call to Order by: President Christina Wilson @6:04pm Members in attendance: Kim Elms, Christina Wilson,Lisa Sturgeon,Kay Click,Lori Hillman,Kelli Crane,Michelle Roy,David Roy,Jessica Ambrose,Judy LaFoe Approve prior meeting minutes: Motion by: Judy LaFoe Second by: Kim Elms Result: Approved Welcome/Introductions Welcome of new members/officers and introduction of all present as listed above: Christine Wilson-President, Lori Hillman VP, Kim Elms Treasurer, Lisa Sturgeon Secretary, Kay Click Pink out, Jessica Ambrose Merchandising, Kelly Crane Volunteer coordinator, Judy LaFoe Grid Iron/Pink Out, etc. Board Position Vote for Michelle Roy – VP of Fundraising Motion by: Christine Wilson Second by: Judy LaFoe Result: Approved Treasurer’s Report given by Christine Wilson  Cash balance /Taxes/End of year report (Fiscal Year-end 5/31/2015); Swim team has money left over/Cross country may buy uniforms with money remaining/will carry over approx.. $5,0006,000 for next school year 2015-16 after last expenses./ways to PROMOTE memberships/team accounts are not for boosters to spend/set up tables at sporting events/Open Houses to inform and market ABC  2015/16 Budget presentation/vote Motion by: Kim Elms Second by: Jessica Ambrose Result: Approved  Turnover to Kimberley Elms 6/1/2015 – use same email: [email protected] All-Sports Program  2015-16 levels  Need group to help Tim distribute & talk to sponsors/Tim is way ahead/Eblasts already done/may utilize Peach Jar flyers for communication. Concessions  End of season inventory/clean up/done/most inventory is gone  Still need to fill this position for next year/looking at 1 person to be the contact person but different groups to sign up to fulfill for each sport. Fundraising  Pasta Dinner – Varsity Bball vs Nation Ford (tbd)  Golf Ball Drop – this Fall (1st FB game or Homecoming??)  Other ideas (Golf Outing, Car Show, Dinner, 5K, others)/Kids with Varsity Athletes/Cow Bingo/Sell Bricks in new stadium/walkway/Dwayne Hartsoe suggests plan in Summer for Fall  Need folks to chair committees to spearhead these events/Lori can be contact person with someone to sign up to spearhead each event/coordinator Merchandise-Jessica Ambrose @ [email protected]  End of year inventory/very little left

Ideas for items for next year/utilize local places to promote sale of gear/postal route/continue with Fort Mill Pharmacy/they do well for us o Sport bottles o What does BSN have to offer/Luke Ware/South Paw/Keith Helms vendor Booster only shirts & decal/magnet/SFMS & GHMS selling magnets/ Need to plan sales at freshman orientation night (Aug)

Volunteers-Kelli Crane  Coach list  Football Varsity game scheduling AD report/Dwayne Hartsoe NOT present  Spring Sport Wrap up  Stadium/School construction/incentives for parents/coaches to sign up for booster membership/develop list for what we do/have done for FMHS/each sport to be covered/encourage coaches to promote boosters/push through team MOMS/parents of athletes should be members Vice-President Report  Scoreboards:Tennis/Baseball and Softball  Community Shoe Drive President Report  2014/15 Wrap up – 2015/16 Planning  We are Incorporated  By-Laws: need to look at/over Christine and Kim to look over/revisions? / Club organization  Membership Committee – Need person to help promote the club and grow membership o Officers need to turn in membership dues before June 15th**online/paper dropoff  Communications Committee for Social Media (facebook, twitter, instagram, etc)  Website (pictures, meeting agenda & minutes plus more)**Please check it o Agenda & Minutes will be posted  Booster activity incentives – monthly drawings Aug thru May/Get vendors to donate GC’s/incentives/Mastercard rewards/  Monthly Newsletter – “Bleacher Buzz” (other name suggestions??)  Pink Out-Judy LaFoe- Goal to be #1 in Nation/last year #2 State/county/need volunteers/ Goal $10,000 to raise or more/ASK: Can ABC donate $1000 this year? Pink out game is NAFO game/ o Charity Bartenders – Grapevine in Baxter, June 10th**need to advertise! Kim will send through Grid Iron club/email/fb page o Yard Sale – in the Fall – save your stuff (or contact Pink Out member for pick up)  Summer meetings – no club meetings but various committee meetings  Common emails (see website for more): President – [email protected] Treasurer – [email protected]
