FMHS ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB MEETING MINUTES Meeting held 9/9/2015 Call to Order by: President Christina Wilson @6:05pm Present: Christina Wilson, Lisa Sturgeon, Lori Hillman, Michelle Roy, Jessica Ambrose, Karla Racer, Dwayne Hartsoe, Tim Nissen, Coach Willie Ware, April Foti, Lori Biggers, Approve prior meeting minutes: Motion by: Tim Nissen, Second by: Lisa Sturgeon; Result: Approved Welcome/Introduction -Welcome April Foti/basketball, Lori Biggers/9th grade Football team/Coach Willie Ware/Boys Tennis Coach Board Position Vote: Rob and Carlyn Burns: Concessions chairs/Motion by: Tim Nissen/2 nd: Karla/all in favor/position Approved. Treasurer’s Report given by Christina Wilson Summary Report/all teams in black/good standing/ FY2014 Tax Filing: Liberty Tax Due 10/15/2015/filed/when Kim returns SC Charity tax to be done. Player of the Month: NEW/1 submitted by coach so far/May look at getting team mom or Dwayne Hartsoe involved to help get players nominated/coacher are supposed to be submitting right now Participation Drawing: Drawn by Coach Ware: Amy Kendall & Sarah Taylor/rest of names stay in drawing bucket CURRENT EVENTS: All-Sports Program-Tim Nissen Done/Football sold out 1st night/25 more ordered for varsity home game/distributed to all teams
Golf Ball Drop: 9/18 FINAL Push/Still have tickets/See Michelle or Christina/Still buy tickets on line/9/15: tickets turn in/9/17: putting golf balls together/The night is a ‘GOLD’ OUT supporting the Kids Cancer Awareness per Dee Christopher/WEAR GOLD/

Homecoming: 10/2 Mrs. White organizes/Need help decorating stadium/ Beef’s Spirit Night 10/7: % of ALL proceeds /Flyer/Eat 5-8pm NAFO/Pink out Game 10/9: ALL HANDS ON DECK FOR HELP!/may have a “Jacket” burger from Beef O Brady’s/ Pink Out Garage Sale 10/3 @ Firestone of Fort mill Hwy 160 Games of the week: Submit/Listed online and newsletter/membership/merchandise

FMHS ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB MEETING MINUTES OPEN FLOOR/NEW BUSINESS: Fundraising-Michelle Roy Golf Ball Drop – 9/18/15-Sponsored by Fort Mill Golf Club-goal of selling 1,000 balls. $20 each ball. Sam’s Carwash/new director wants to be involved and help support our fundraising/Rotating Ad in gym/gift cards **Coach Ware added that he had contact info for HubeeDee’s in Steele Creek/Rivergate Shopping area that is very interested in doing a spirit night and supporting our schools. Merchandise-Jessica Ambrose @ [email protected] Contacted art teacher/discuss entry to design a long sleeve t-shirt/ contest during spirit week/students will vote/$50 local gift card/turn design in 9/25/Spirit week 9/28-10/2/will be selling spirit wear during lunch duty Membership-Karla Racer: Trying to get more people to join/ideas/membership drive Maybe write a personal letter to each team addressing what Boosters has supported them with so that the parents/teams are aware Talk in front of parent group Spring sports maybe timing it closer to their season may be better timing than fall to speak with them Add “sport” section/for parents to write what sport their child plays on membership form Vice-President Report-Lori Hillman Relink EVIC Harris Teeter Cards/on our website/may relink at events/maybe freshman games/events to relink Looking into a ‘Drive a thon” /$20 per drive/looking at a good time for parents to participate/dealership to have cars available
