FMHS ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB MEETING MINUTES Meeting held 8/5/2015 Call to Order by: President Christina Wilson @6:08pm Present: Kimberly Elms, Christina Wilson, Lisa Sturgeon, Lori Hillman, Kelli Crane, Michelle Roy, Jessica Ambrose, Karla Racer, Bethany Prain, Rebecca Cavanaugh, Dwayne Hartsoe, Tim Nissen Approve prior meeting minutes: Motion by: Kimberly Elms Second by: Lisa Sturgeon Result: Approved Welcome/Introduction -Welcome of new members/officers and introduction of all present as listed above: Christina Wilson-President, Lori Hillman VP, Kimberly Elms Treasurer, Lisa Sturgeon Secretary, Jessica Ambrose Merchandising, Kelly Crane Volunteer coordinator, NEW: Karla Racer Communications. Welcome of Swim and Tennis Moms/Representatives. Board Position Vote: NONE Treasurer’s Report given by Kimberly Elms  Summary Report  FY2014 Tax Filing: Liberty Tax Due 10/15/2015 Budget Approval Motion by: Christina Wilson Second by: Jessica Ambrose Result: Approved unanimous.  Email: [email protected] All-Sports Program-Tim Nissen  Sponsor/book update: Absolute last date to turn in 8/17/2015/Some teams have not been chosen yet and may not get in by due date.  Good Luck Ads: DUE NOW! Tim has 3 now. Some still coming in.  Distribute Jacket Sponsor packets: Lost back cover sponsor. Need new one. Had 73 last year/39 so far this year/Will revisit sponsors from last year for this year that have not committed yet to see if they want to do the same for this year. Concessions  Clean up stadium/gym- ALL HANDS ON DECK! 8/15/15 (depending on construction)  Still NEED Concession VP and 3 assistants/even someone who can shop for needs behind the scenes  8/14 Light Concessions for Freshman/JV football scrimmage games  1st home FB (JV/Fresh) game 8/27/15/VB game 9/3/15.  Equipment Purchase proposal by Christina Wilson: 1 popcorn/1 cheese/chili/microwave/freezer/oven..made for the year. Most would need to move from sport to sport throughout year. Motion by Christina to spend up to $2500 on equipment by end of year, 2nd by Kimberly Elms. Approved unanimous. Fundraising-Michelle Roy  Golf Ball Drop – 9/18/15-Sponsored by Fort Mill Golf Club-goal of selling 1,000 balls. $20 each ball. Would like each athlete to sell ATLEAST 1! Ft. Mill Golf Club will provide the balls to use for free and will collect after event ends. Can pay with Paypal online and at FMHS. Each ball bought will have same number as the printed ticket the donor gets.

Ticket Sales START: 8/13 Freshman Orientation

Merchandise-Jessica Ambrose @ [email protected]  Presented new item samples  Need to sell at school orientations/lunches/games/Lori also presented some new ideas for products/Will need volunteers to sell at the events listed.  Looking at a new jacket like the Swim jacket  Freshman Orientation 8/13 from 6-7:30pm & Open House 8/25 @ 6pm Volunteers-Kelli Crane  Coach list/Team Parent list asked for from each team  Football Varsity game scheduling/Will need about 16-20 Vols for concession stands and 30 volunteers for pink out approx.. AD report/Dwayne Hartsoe  Stadium/School Construction unsure about stadium opening 8/15  Seasons/Sports passes-need #/May not have 100 parking spots this year/ Vice-President Report-Lori Hillman  Membership Committee: Need person to help promote the club and grow membership  Officers need to turn in membership dues/forms ASAP!- can do on website  BBQ fundraiser-NOT AT THIS TIME/Revisit President Report  Communications-Karla Racer **Monthly Newsletter “Bleacher Buzz”-1st issue was June 2015-see website  Website(pictures, meeting agenda & minutes plus MORE) **Agenda, Minutes, Newsletter, Calendar are posted  Orientation 8/13/Open House 8/25—All hands needed/looking at nametags/shirts for ABC Board  Booster activity Incentives: Monthly drawings Sept thru May for will have slip to fill out/at events will draw a name at monthly ABC mtgs.  Players of the month-sponsored by S & L trophies/1male & 1 female each month/coaches turn in names/Awarded Sept-May  Game of the week-to promote sporting activities  Calendar of Events-Throughout the year/plan  Scoreboard Proposals-money raised from golf ball drop to fund scoreboard needs **Tennis-New **Baseball/Softball-recondition **Stadium-possible FUTURE-video scoreboard (Committee to be formed)FUTURE  Motion made that money from golf ball fundraiser will pay for Tennis scoreboard 1st then next on list, Motion made by Christina Wilson, 2nd by Tim Nissen. **May need to revisit this as fundraiser gets closer/finished and see what funds we raise from it. Passed/Approved unanimous.
