Game Notes FIRST PITCH Gettysburg plays its final home game of the regular season and looks to clinch a Centennial Conference playoff berth as it hosts the McDaniel College Green Terror in a single nine-inning game this afternoon. ALL-TIME SERIES The Bullets hold an 81-32-3 over McDaniel in the all-time series that dates all the way back to 1888. Gettysburg has captured 10 of the last 13 meetings, including the team’s match-up in Westminster earlier this week. REIDER PLAQUE CEREMONY Prior to the start of today’s game, Gettysburg will dedicate a plaque in memory of Ray Reider ’53, a former Bullet and long-time supporter of Gettysburg College athletics who passed away this past January. Reider was a multi-sport athlete at Gettysburg and a three-year starting catcher for the baseball team before serving the College in multiple capacities beyond graduation, including assistant football coach, head wrestling coach, and Assistant Professor of Health and Physical Education. He remained a loyal follower of Bullets athletics and the baseball program following his retirement in 2002. LAST TIME OUT Senior Henry Klimowicz went 5-for-6, tying a record and reaching a milestone to lead the Bullets to a 17-6 victory at McDaniel this past Wednesday. The Bullets jumped on the Green Terror right away with an eight-run first inning, highlighted by a grand slam from senior Shawn Moffitt. Klimowicz slugged four extra-base hits (three doubles, one triple) and became the second player this season to tie the school for hits in a game, as sophomore Logan Sneed achieved the feat twice earlier this season. With his first hit of the day - an RBI-single in the first – Klimowicz reached the 100-hit plateau for his career. He also scored three runs and drove in three runs. The Bullets outhit McDaniel 21-10 for the game, with senior Steve Wright going 4-for-6 with three runs and two RBIs. Sneed and junior Will Anderson added three hits apiece for Gettysburg while sophomore Brad DeMartino earned the win on the mound, tossing six innings, yielding four runs on six

hits and two walks while striking out five. Freshman Will Wortmann tossed three shutout innings of relief to earn the save. RECORD-BREAKING OFFENSE In their win over McDaniel on Wednesday, the Bullets broke the school record for doubles in a season (88) and tied the team’s single-season mark for triples (29). Gettysburg leads the Centennial Conference in both categories and also ranks second in batting average (.331) and slugging percentage (.456). Sophomore Logan Sneed is tied for third in the conference in batting (.420) while senior Steve Wright is third in RBIs (39) and first in doubles (15). STRONG PITCHING The Bullets rank second in the Centennial Conference in ERA (3.59), with several pitchers making big contributions. Junior Eric Brown leads the team in ERA (2.55) while sophomore Brad DeMartino and junior Rich Power have earned six wins each. DeMartino ranks fourth among the league leaders in strikeouts (58). COMEBACK KIDS Gettysburg registered a pair of impressive comebacks last week here at Kirchhoff Field. In a 7-7, 12-inning tie versus Johns Hopkins, the Bullets trailed 7-4 heading into the bottom of the ninth but rallied with three runs to force extra innings. Four days later, the Bullets faced an 8-4 deficit in the bottom of the ninth before scoring five times, capped by a walk-off, pinch-hit single from sophomore Jack Seibert. SCOUTING THE GREEN TERROR  McDaniel enters today’s game 27-8 and had won five straight games prior to its loss to the Bullets earlier this week.  The Green Terror enter today’s game leading the Centennial Conference in batting average (.332), with senior Marty Windisch leading the way with a conference-leading mark of .427. He has also driven in 40 runs while senior Cameron Bahr leads the conference with 44 RBIs.  Windisch has also led McDaniel on the mound, going 8-2 to lead the conference in wins, while senior Zach Kronick is the league leader in strikeouts (90).
