Jonathan Holland is Coming to Northwest! Greetings all! Once again I would like to thank you for picking up the monthly HOF Bulletin. I’m glad this work has been beneficial to so many. As many of you know the high school group is going to Nicaragua next summer. There they will be working at the Mission Para Cristo in Jinotega assisting the mission in various ways. It is a great opportunity and we are all very excited about it. Next month, on November 15, Jonathan Holland will be here in Peoria. Jonathan Holland is the man who runs the Mission Para Cristo. He is an American who lives
and works in Nicaragua as a missionary. We are incredibly blessed to have him here in Illinois. That morning he will be giving a presentation at the Eureka Church of Christ about the mission in Nicaragua. That evening we will have another Nicaragua meeting. This time Jon-
athan will be there to answer any and all questions that you may have. It is very important that all teens and chaperones who are planning on going to Nicaragua be there for this. We will discuss other important information as well. By Ryan Martin
tain any relevant information that the teachers here need to see. This includes events to announce/promote, important dates, and so on. Look here to see if there is anything going on that you need to be aware of.
Some months there may not be anything, which is fine. If there ever is something I will put it here in the bulletin for all of you to see. Thank you again for what you do. God bless. By Ryan Martin
Attention Teachers! First off I would like to thank each and every one of you who teaches a Bible class on Sunday morning. What you do is vital to the growth of the youth here at Northwest. This section of the bulletin will, from here on out, con-

each month so the congregation will get to know them a little better. This month’s teen spotlight goes to one of our seniors, Natalie Balteau. Natalie doesn’t let you get away with anything. Believe me, I know. There was a time on the way back from South Side when I, in my naivety, missed the exit back to Peoria. Natalie was in the front seat of the van and I thought I would never hear the end of it. She also really wants to go to a taco truck. More importantly Natalie has a fantastic heart for God. She loves to serve others and is always keeping an eye out for the marginalized. She has taken charge of the upcoming Peoria mission and has found a lot of places to serve. I see Jesus in Natalie.
What Happened in October! Now I know that October isn’t quite over yet, but the youth here at Northwest have done some incredible things already. It is very exciting to see how God is using the youth here to inspire others and grow the Kingdom. Nicaragua Garage Sale: Yes this actually happened in September, but this bulletin was published before that happened. The youth did a great job in helping to set up the colossal garage sale. They worked very hard to make sure that everything was a go. A big thank you to Marcie Gardner for organizing that event. Without Marcie it wouldn’t have happened at all. Movie Night @ the Kennedy’s: One of the coolest things to me is how the elders here at Northwest are invested in the youth. You don’t find that everywhere. One Sunday during the month of October the Kennedy’s opened their doors to the youth to watch the Muppets and have a good time. It was a great blessing. Fondulac Nursing Home: Just last Sunday the youth were again blessed with the opportunity to help those on the margins. They went to the Fondulac nursing home in East Peoria and played BINGO with the residents. A big thank you to Rachel Gardner for making that possible. Ryan Martin
