Back to School Well, the time has finally come. School has once again started. The long, action-packed summer has come to a close. When school starts several things happen. First, everyone generally settles into a routine. During the summer it is hard to find a routine. Second is that things get busy. Now these days life is always busy, what with all the sports, concerts, church activities,

and family things to go to. With school, though, comes all the school-related activities. Football, band, choir, basketball, and many other events begin. What I urge the teens and parents not to do is forget about Christ in the hustle and bustle. This is sadly far too easy to do. With all the events and commitments it can be easy to lose sight of God in our lives. I encourage everyone to set

aside time for daily Bible study and prayer. It can make a world of difference. Ryan Martin

they are on a Friday or Saturday evening, I will try to get the youth group to come! By Ryan Martin

I have only known him for just over a year, but in that year he has impressed me. He is a natural leader with a gift for expressing his opinion clearly and respectfully. His Bible knowledge is deep, and his willingness to serve is phenomenal. I am blessed to

have met Lee. I see Jesus in him.

The month of August has been an interesting one for me, because it feels like I haven’t been here for most of it. Between being sick and my brother’s wedding, I’ve missed a lot. So I would like to thank Nate and Rachel Gardner and Rodney and Jill Humes for stepping up and taking care of youth group activities as well as the high school class while I was gone. Both couples are essential parts of the Hearts on Fire ministry, and they do a lot to help out. I want to make sure they get the credit for this. They often jump in and volunteer without me ever having to ask. If I need something done, I know that these two couples will almost always be there if I need them. So, to Nate, Rachel, Rodney, and Jill; THANK YOU! Ryan Martin All pictures are taken from Facebook
