VBS! Thanks for picking up the Hearts on Fire Bulletin for this month! VBS is coming up fast! From 6-8 pm on July 11-14, we will be having Vacation Bible School right here at Northwest! This is for anyone ages 3-11 years old. Anyone older than that can help! The theme this year is Cave Quest, which focuses on Jesus being the light of the world. The kids will be exploring how Jesus

is the center of life and how everything revolves around him. VBS is definitely a team effort, if ever there was one. It would not be possible without the support and volunteers of this congregation. Thank you so much to those who are helping and those

who are bringing kids. Together we can make VBS an event that helps the children come to know Jesus even better. Sign up now at cocnw.org Ryan Martin

Devo Host Needed! On July 24 the youth will be having a devotional for their Sunday night activity. What they need is a place to have it at. If you

would be willing to host a devotional on that day, let me know! This is a great way to get to know these incredible teens and wor-

ship God with them. By Ryan Martin

This section of the bulletin will put a different youth in the spotlight each month so the congregation will get to know them a little better.

This month’s youth spotlight goes to Tatum Gardner. Wherever Tatum goes she lights up the room. At camp she is always one of the staff’s favorite campers. Here at church people love giving her a high five and getting to know her. Tatum has an infectious joy that is just fantastic. This joy that Tatum has helps people see Jesus. She is always willing to serve and help others. Even at such a young age Tatum is truly an example worth noting. I see Jesus in Tatum.

The Month of June The month of June has been a busy one. Here are some of the highlights from this past month. June 3-11: As you probably know the high school group went to Nicaragua this past month. They had a great time and grew closer to each other and to God. June 7-11: This week the elementary and junior high students went to camp. The theme was Faith Fit where they learned how to keep their faith strong. June 12-15: The high schoolers went on a retreat sponsored by the people who do camp. They had a great time and dug deep into God’s Word. June 17: This was the first of what promises to many Friday Hang Outs. Several of the youth gathered at my place and watched movies and played games together. June 20: This was the first SYS of the summer. It was great! There are still events happening here in June that haven’t happened at the time this was written. How blessed we are to be so busy! Ryan Martin
