Students will learn and understand the shared climates and vegetation of the United States and Canada. Students will be able to identify differences in climate and vegetation between the United States and Canada. Students will be able to describe the effects of extreme weather in the United States and Canada Students will conclude the week with a current event that is within the context of World Geography (ie. flora/fauna, culture, and any unique event that sparks interest and learning. This lesson will also fulfill the students weekly writing.
Wednesday: Lecture/(PPt.)/Notes/Discussion: Climate and Vegetation Thursday: Assign students Vocabulary Activity/guided reading short answers Friday: Current Events: Students will research a current event and write a summary that will be presented to the class.
