See: http://www.aktionclub.org/home.aspx SEPTEMBER 17, 2016: Attendance included 16 members and about 15 caregivers including: Kirkland Kiwanis Aktion Club Officers: Pres. Sean McKibben and Vice Pres. - Jeffrey Rohrback. Kiwanis Club of Kirkland (sponsor): Bowling Coordinator - Darcie Cailao & Aktion Club Advisor – Matt Gregory (scribe).

SERVICE: 3 hours + – 1-hour + preparation time: Members collected and/or purchased (many with their own money) kitchen and bathroom household supplies which they brought to the bowling alley. 1 1/2-hour on site time: Between bowling turns, members and guests loaded the table with donated goods, sorted the items, and filled the two baskets and one bucket. Thank you Corey’s Mom for extra help. After bowling several people pitched in to load the SUV. 1/2-hour delivery time: The advisor will deliver to Attain Housing. These things will be used for welcome baskets when homeless families are given a place to stay and come with little or nothing.
Please see http://www.attainhousing.org. SOCIAL: 2 hours – Bowling at TechCity Bowl, Kirkland and dining at nearby Dairy Queen at Bridle Trails, Kirkland, plus social media time. MEETING: 1 hour - During lunch at Dairy Queen with preparation conversations. 1. Happy Birthday : Jason Grager was 28 Sep 6th and Andrew Christison was 30 on Sep 17th. 2. October Service Project: Halloween mask decorating for family, friends and needy. WHAT’S NEXT? October 15th, 2016 (3rd Saturday of Month) 11:45 AM at TechCity Bowl for one-hour bowling 12:15 to 1:15 PM and then lunch meeting at adjacent Dairy Queen 1:30 to 2:15pm; doing service project per above. 2016 Sep 17
