See: http://www.aktionclub.org/home.aspx FEB, MAR & APR 2017: Feb - Attendance included 20 members, about 15 caregivers plus: Kiwanis Club of Kirkland (interclub): Darcie, Dale, Kat and Kim. Mar - Attendance included 22 members, about 20caregivers plus: Kiwanis Club of Kirkland (interclub): Bowling Coordinator – Darcie, Carol, Jay, ?. Apr - Attendance included 19 members, about 17 caregivers plus: Kiwanis Club of Kirkland (sponsor): Bowling Coordinator - Darcie Cailao & Aktion Club Advisor – Matt Gregory (scribe). SERVICE: 3 hours each project. Feb – No project due to Presidents Day weekend holiday. Mar – Pet food and supply collection. Products were donated to Beck’s Place in Monroe, WA which is a support system for needy people with pets; see https://www.becksplace.org/about. Apr – Easter Egg filling. 72 plastic eggs were filled with wrapped salt water taffy as special nonchocolate treats for the annual Kiwanis Club of Kirkland Easter Egg hunt at Peter Kirk Park on Easter Sunday Apr 16.

SOCIAL: 2 hours – Bowling at TechCity Bowl, Kirkland and dining at nearby Dairy Queen at Bridle Trails, Kirkland, plus social media time. MEETING: 1 hour - During lunch at Dairy Queen with preparation conversations. Birthdays : Feb – Tim Bounds 38 on 14th, Matt Moeler 35 on 22nd, Brett Neider 35 on 2nd, Jake Simmons 28 on 14th. Mar – Jeremy Carrigan 31 on 5th, Gordon Chandler 28 on 22nd. Apr – Sarah Carlile 34 on 17th, Christine Cech 28 on 11th, Erika Swanson 38 on 1st. Project : In May we will decorate paper placemats for the next Attain Housing Community Supper hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Kirkland. Request: PLEASE TEXT, EMAIL OR CALL DARCIE BEFORE BOWLING TO RESERVE! WHAT’S NEXT?
