21 APRIL 2018 ATTENDEES: Included 20 members (4 per lane), 20 caregivers and 2 Kiwanians including: 2017-18 Club Officers: Pres Reed McGrath, Vice Pres Jeremey Carrigan & Sec Corey Gilman. Sponsor - Kiwanis Club of Kirkland: Bowling Coordinator - Darcie Cailao & Aktion Club Advisor Matt Gregory (scribe). SERVICE: 3 hours – We made personal cards from us to our Mother’s and/or Father’s in celebration of the upcoming May’s Mother’s Day and June’s Father’s Day. Cards were obtained from Goodwill and labels were made by the KCK Advisor, done in advance of meeting. Members may give now or holdon to give out on the appropriate occasion.

SOCIAL: 2 hours overlap – Bowling (six lanes of three each) and lunch, plus social media time. MEETING: 1-hour overlap- During end of bowling and during lunch with preparation conversations beforehand. Birthdays: April: – Erica Swanson 39 on 1st, Christine Cech 29 on 11th, Sarah Carlile 35 on 17th, and new member Karley Korshaven 32 on 29 th. Old Business: Dining: For those who stay after bowling, we order from the Tech City Café counter at any time and eat the at same tables used during bowling. New Business: Next Service Project: Decorate placemats for the next Attain Housing Community Supper at Kirkland’s Holy Spirit Lutheran Church when hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Kirkland. Passing of Wendy: We learned today Wendy James, Hannah Simpson-Kuhlmann’s housemate, died on Easter, April 1 and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and all that knew and cared for her. A card has been sent from our club. She will be missed at bowling. Kiwanis News: Division Council Meeting: 91 people attended the Division 28 Council Meeting for the 12 Kiwanis Clubs on the Eastside with some of their sponsored Service Leadership Programs of Aktion Club, Key Club and Builders Club on Wed 18 Apr 2018 in Bothell, WA.  WHAT’S NEXT? 16 June 2018 (3rd Saturday of Month) 11:45 AM at TechCity Bowl for 1-hour bowling 12:15 to 1:15 PM & lunch meeting 1:15 to 2:15pm at Tech City Café.
