https://www.facebook.com/groups/waht.next and http://kirkland.kiwanis.org/Page/23075 This is a 3-2-1 club for adults living with disabilities, each month doing at least 3 hours of community service, 2 hours of social interaction and 1 hour of meeting business. See: http://www.aktionclub.org/home.aspx 16 DECEMBER 2017 ATTENDEES: Included 22 members, 21 caregivers and 3 Kiwanians including: 2017-18 Club Officers: Vice Pres-Jeremey Carrigan & Sec-Corey Gilman. Sponsor - Kiwanis Club of Kirkland: Bowling Coordinator - Darcie Cailao, Aktion Club Advisor - Matt Gregory (scribe), and Bill Ward. SERVICE: 3 hours – Club members obtained through family, friends, coworkers, employers or themselves new unwrapped toys to be given to the Marines - Toys for Tots. The table full of toys filled the back of the SUV that ended up in an entire box at the donation site: Juanita’s Party Supply, Kirkland. Special thanks to our guest and for his service to our country (2 tours in Afghanistan and Purple Heart):

SOCIAL: 2 hours – Bowling and lunch plus social media time. MEETING: 1 hour - During lunch following bowling with preparation conversations beforehand. Birthdays: December – Erin 34 on 8th, Mikayla 23 on 11th, Meghan 33 on 18th and Jeff 36 on 24th. New Business: Next Service Project – In January we will have a special craft for the upcoming Valentine’s Day. WHAT’S NEXT? 20 Jan 2017 (3rd Saturday of Month) 11:45 AM at TechCity Bowl for 1-hour bowling 12:15 to 1:15 PM & lunch meeting 1:30 to 2:15pm at 10 Pin Tap Sports Bar with Tech City Café menu.
