If you wish to share a prayer request with the staff and our email prayer line, include this on your card and place in the offering plate. We welcome those who are worshiping with us for the first time and ask that you please use a green guest registration card. April 29th– Pastor John will participate in the food pantry and there will be a church potluck in the FLC @ 5:30 PM. April 30th– Pastor John will bring the message and a congregational vote will be taken following the service. From Pastor Bob Parting Words It would be presumptuous of us to assume that we know exactly what will happen in the coming weeks regarding pastoral transitions here at BBC and for Diane and me. It seems, however, that things are falling into place with Pastor John Sievering coming here to candidate next weekend. I know that the search committee has been very diligent in discerning God’s will in order to present a pastoral candidate for your consideration. Doors have been opening for me as well, as I will relate to you in due time. Along with next weekend, Diane and I will not be here on the weekend of May 21st. That leaves only four more Sundays with you counting today. Diane and I both know that my calling here as your interim pastor has been part of God’s marvelous plan for us and for you. I’ll share more of my perspective in the coming days.
I have chosen the first two chapters of Philippians for my final series of sermons with you. Paul had tremendous affection for the people of Philippi. I have the same attitude towards you and so the epistle is especially relevant for these transitional weeks before us. I’m looking forward to these final days with you. I hope that you will be able to share my joy in God’s work in us as well. With you, Pastor Bob
