Amber discussed being committed to reasons or results. Here again are the differences: A commitment to reason or excuses has the benefit of being reasonable. It removes guilt and blame and is more convenient and comfortable. The prices attached to being committed to reasons or excuses are NO results, your word has no power and your self-esteem goes down. A commitment to results has the benefit of just that – results, regardless of the circumstances. The prices attached to a commitment to results are that you face rejection, it feels more uncomfortable, and can cost you time, money and energy. Based on what you have created in your health, are you committed to reasons (excuses) or results?
Compliance versus Commitment Compliance is the mindset to do something because you feel you have to. What aspects of your health journey are you doing out of compliance?
Commitment is when you have totally surrendered to a choice you have made. You have given up any thoughts other than DOING IT. You are totally committed. Commitment may require a lot of work, but it is fun, energizing and you produce maximum results. Where in your health journey are you committed?
