Sierra 2 Sage Shop Hop 2015 It’s not too early to SAVE THE DATES for next year’s Sierra 2 Sage Shop Hop. Sierra 2 Sage Shop Hop, Color Theory in a Basket will be September 10-12, 2015. Thank you! A Stitch of Country was voted BEST SHOP for the 2014 Sierra 2 Sage Shop Hop. That’s two years in a row. We were also voted as having the BEST CLASS PROJECT.
Happy Anniversary to Us! A Stitch of Country will be celebrating our 3rd Anniversary on December 16, 2014. I am sure some of our loyal customers remember when we were just a small “hole in the wall” shop. A BIG THANK YOU to all our supporters who helped us grow. Block of the Month Ending We hope you enjoyed this year’s block of the month – Trifecta. Please join us for the last date on December 20th. Feel free to use our design wall to layout your blocks and complete your quilt top. We welcome suggestions for next year’s Block of the Month.
Private Lessons We are offering private lessons for beginners! Learn how to sew with one-on-one instruction. Lessons are open to anyone age 10 years and older. Cost is $15.00 per hour. Call Rebecca at the shop to schedule your next lesson 775-835-0558.
Fernley Country Quilters The Fernley Country Quilters club will be holding their Christmas Pot Luck Party at the shop on Saturday December 13, from noon to 4 pm. You may bring a project to work on if you wish. Also, there will be a gift exchange game, so please bring a wrapped gift. Remember when selecting a gift to choose something you would want yourself as you may end up with it by the end of the game. Gift should cost no more that $10 - $15. In Loving Memory Of Todd Alexander Todd Alexander passed away on November 22, 2014. Todd was a husband, brother, father, Mason, Shriner, and friend. He was born July 9, 1959 in Portland, OR to Harold and Maxine Alexander, brother to Keith and Julie. He is survived by his wife Susan Alexander, his five stepchildren Cassandra, Corey, Stephanie, Anthony, Rochelle, and two grandchildren. Todd was known for his lust for life, love of the outdoors, and anything shiny with a fast motor. He liked to be social, always had a smile, and laughed a lot. He was fun to be around, witty, and always ready with a comeback line. Todd had a great memory for movie lines; he loved history, and knew his family tree better than anyone. Many locals may remember Todd as the owner of Trash Pros. We will miss him greatly. 2
