Fernley Country Quilters The Fernley Country Quilters Club is going to make striped table runners this month. The runner requires a striped fabric with a large print. A 54-inch piece of fabric will produce a 44-inch long table runner. A 72-inch piece will make a 60-inch runner. Look for repeats in the fabric when deciding which one to use. Please keep in mind, as a member of the Fernley Country Quilters Club you will receive 10% OFF your purchases in the shop on quilt club days. Meeting for the month of June are: Wednesday June 4th, Monday June 16th, and Saturday June 28th. All meeting times are now set at 1 pm to 5 pm. There is NO DUES for membership in this club. Beginning Sewing, A Private Lesson? So many people ask us to provide a beginning sewing or beginning quilting class, but no one seems to be able to attend. Therefore, we are kicking around the idea of having private lessons. A one-on-one lesson to get you started sewing. Please contact Rebecca at the shop (775-835-0558) if you are interested in scheduling time. Lessons are open to persons aged 10 and older.
Machine Quilting Class Will Return The Machine Quilting Class was such a hit, that the instructor Jill Schumacher agreed to return in August and November. Sign up now for the August 26-27-28, 2014 class or the November 18-19-20, 2014 class. Space is limited to 20 participants. Jill will again teach beginning Machine Quilting using your home sewing machine, and she will also incorporate more advanced designs for those who are up for a challenge. Block of The Month Trifecta Block of the Month It’s not too late to join us each month as we work on a block to make this interesting quilt using fat quarters or fat eighths. Perfect for coordinating scraps or batiks. Finished quilt size depends on use of fat quarters or fat eights. Kits available to get you caught up. Block of the Month meetings will be on the 25th of each month (exception: December 20).
Eleanor Burns Webinar Ends June 10, 2014 Quilt in a Day and Eleanor Burns present Block Party 2014 "The Case of the Lost Quilt" Mystery solved! The 2014 Block Party Quilt has come to an end. Join us for the final installment of Eleanor Burns Webinar series “The Case of the Lost Quilt.” Eleanor will reveal the completed quilt today.
