Sierra to Sage Shop Hop That’s right! Save the Dates! The 9th Annual Sierra to Sage Shop Hop will be here before you know it. Shop Hop dates are September 810, 2016. This year’s theme is Quilted Leaves. All shops will be selling fat quarter bundles needed to complete all the leaf blocks you will be collecting in your goodie bag during the hop. The bags are back! Bags will sell for $14.99 each. The bags are available now and supplies are limited. Food Donations will be accepted once again and distributed to local food banks.
Hot August! The Hot August Nights event is happening now through August 7 in Reno, but I think we will continue to experience HOT August days for a lot longer than that. Temperatures continue to hit the 100’s here in Fernley. Luckily we have OPEN SEW on Wednesdays, so come into the classroom and cool off. Maybe I can convince the boss to let me sit in the classroom and sew all day… wink, wink. Do you “work like a dog?” Well come in Friday, August 5 for our “Work Like a Dog Day” sale. All animal themed fabric is 25% OFF. And don’t forget Fat Quarter Friday, August 19, 2016. Buy 3 Fat Quarters and get 1 Free! We are having an END OF BOLT sale August 11th and again on August 25th. Home Sweet Home 2016 Row by Row Home Sweet Home Continues through September 6, 2016 As of today, August 3rd, our shop does not have a winner. Be the first to complete your quilt (quilted, bound, and labeled) to win 25 fat quarters!
Classes for August Join us for one or more of the following classes. August 12-14, 2016 – Paper Piecing with CI Toria Johnson Students will learn Judy Niemeyer’s paper piecing technique with Quiltworx’s Certified Instructor Toria Johnson. This is a “Pick Your Pattern” class, so you may choose any of the Quiltworx’s patterns (beginner to advanced). There will be a one-hour break each day for lunch on your own. Cost: $60.00. Patterns and fabrics sold separately. August 23, 2016 – BQ5 Class Students will learn how assemble this popular choice for quick and easy quilting. Pattern has multiple quilt sizes and block sizes for many project options. This project is suitable for all skill levels. Cost: $20.00. Pattern included. Fabrics sold separately August 26-27, 2016 – Tuffet Party Students will learn how to make a whimsical tuffet (low stool) during this twoday class. We now offer SQUARE or ROUND tuffets. Class cost: $40.00. Pattern sold separately: Round Pattern $28.00 Square Pattern $30.00. Kit sold separately and includes cording, foam, button, batting, legs, and wood board with pre-drilled holes. Kit Cost: $125.00. Please order kit one week prior to class. Fabrics sold separately.
