Sierra 2 Sage Shop Hop Receive a 10% Discount on all your purchases at this year’s Shop Hop when you buy a reusable canvas tote bag from participating shops. Bags are on sale for $14.95 each. We only have a few bags left, so get yours soon! Food Donations will be accepted once again during this year’s Sierra 2 Sage Shop Hop. Please remember all food donations must be non-perishable and NOT past the expiration date. All food collected at our shop will go to the Fernley Food Bank. Thank you!
August Happenings We are EXPANDING! That’s right. We are growing too big for our little shop and need to expand into Suite C. As such, we are experiencing growing pains, so please forgive me for getting this short newsletter out so late. We are building a new classroom, and it is going to be HUGE. We will be able to comfortably accommodate 20 students (plenty of elbowroom). There will be bright overhead lighting, central heating and cooling, and a durable floor that will stand up to all our rolling chairs. We will have multiple ironing stations, and design walls will surround the entire room. Our quilter Kathy will be moving into a larger room with her long arm machine. All this remodeling will allow us to add more fabrics, patterns, and notions to our shop. We are so excited!

2015 Row by Row Experience There are only a few weeks left to pick up your free pattern from our shop. Kits are still available for $14.99 each, and we still have license plates for $6.00 each. The 2015 Row by Row Experience free pattern give away ends September 8, 2015. September 9 to October 31, 2015 is “downtime” to allow quilters the opportunity to complete and submit their quilts for prizes. You have until October 31, 2015 to submit a quilt to win a prize. You can make several quilts and show them off in several shops, but you may only claim one prize (one prize per quilter). Your quilt will be photographed for Facebook and everyone will see it.
2015 Shop Hop T-Shirts Purchase a 2015 Sierra 2 Sage Shop Hop T-Shirt from any participating shop and receive a 10% discount each time you wear the shirt on the LAST TUESDAY of each month.
Machine Quilting Class in October The final Machine Quilting Class for 2015 by Jill Schumacher will be held October 1, 2, & 3, 2015. Space is available now in our new classroom. Jill will again teach beginning Machine Quilting using your home sewing machine, and she will also incorporate more advanced designs for those who are up for a challenge. Please visit our website www.astitchofcountry.com to download documentation for the class (projects and supply lists). Class cost $150.00 for three full days of instruction. A $50.00 deposit is required to hold your seat. Deposit is non-refundable after September 25, 2015.
