Lenten Charities Myton Hospice- Teddy on Tour Earlier in the week, Clare from Myton Hospice talked to the children during assembly and they have been given a fun challenge to help support the charity! You may have seen a new addition to your family, in the form of a little wooden teddy bear. The challenge is to name the bear, design clothes and look after them for a week, taking them everywhere you go. Fill in the form on the front of the envelope as to what activities your bear has done each day, ask parents to sign the form and hand it in to the teacher at the end of the week. By making a donation and sponsoring the children in the challenge, you will be greatly supporting the fantastic work that Myton carries out. To add an extra twist to the excitement, we would like you to send photos of your bear in an exciting place or doing a particular activity to
[email protected] and they will be shown on the school website!

February 2016
Parents, family & friends are invited to our Y1 Mother’s Day assembly, 9.15am Friday 4th March.
Parent Consultation Evening Please note our Spring term parents’ consultation evenings are scheduled for Tuesday 1st March and Wednesday 2nd March. Today, parents should have received appointment times. Please note we have tried our best to accommodate parents’ requests and also tried to plan for those parents with children in more than one year group. We ask that parents keep meetings to 10 minutes and if any longer is required that an appointment is made for an alternate day and time.
Half Marathon Good luck to all those children and staff taking part in the Coventry Marathon this weekend. Please meet at Wetherspoons (Skydome) at 8am.
Lunch Menu Please see the new school lunch menu on our website. This week the stuffed peppers were delicious!
Coventry Recycling Club The Coventry Recycling Club encourages families to recycle more at home and is funded by the government and run by Coventry City Council. Please see the attached poster encouraging families to join the Coventry Recycling Club. In doing so, you have the chance of winning a family trip to the Sea Life Centre and £600 for the school. Also if 15% of our families sign up the school is awarded a much needed £50, if 30% sign up we would be awarded £100 and we would be entered into a £500 draw.
[email protected].
Please take five minutes to sign up, help our school and the environment!!
Night Shelters A massive thank you to all those children and parents who have made donations of tea, coffee, soup, biscuits etc to the Churches of Coventry night shelters for the homeless. You really have been so generous and the volunteers have asked to pass on their thanks too, it is really appreciated. Please keep it coming.
St Patricks Donations As it is nearing the big day, we are asking if you would kindly donate prizes for raffle and auction at the St Patrick’s Day Coffee Morning on Thurs 17th March. We already have prize donations from Ackers, Puregym, The Village, Inspire School of Dance, The Maudslay, Blaze, Wasps and many more. All donations appreciated!
PTA Latest News Thank you to everyone who supported our Cinema Night and Mother's Day Gift Ordering Service. We appreciate your contributions! Many thanks to the PTA parent helpers who gave up their time today to help make these events run so smoothly! Our Next Meeting takes place on Monday 11th April - 6.30 pm at the Maudslay. The PTA spring newsletter is attached to the school newsletter.
Good Shepherd Appeal During Lent each year, the Father Hudson charity delivers ‘Good Shepherd Appeal’ boxes for children to take home and save the money they would normally spend on sweets and treats. These boxes will be sent home with the children today and we’d be very grateful if you could fill them with loose change to help support the charity.
