Senior Football League, Valley Rovers 1.20 to St Michaels 0.05 Valleys had a comprehensive win over St Michaels in their preparation for their upcoming Senior Championship match. The team versus St Michaels lined out as follows: Donnacha O'Driscoll, Fergal Coughlan, Brian Lehane, Michael O'Brien, Darragh Crowley, Ronan Lehane, Denis Collins, David lynch, Chris O’Donovan, Gary Farrell, Shane Nolan, Eoghan Delaney, Ger Rice, Eoin Manning, Jack Walsh. Subs Willie Burke, Damien Coughlan, Rob Moore and Conor Lynch. The Senior Footballers followed this win up with a good draw versus Na Piarsaigh’s on a scoreline of Na Piarsaigh 1 - 10 to Valley Rovers 2 – 7. Fixtures: Rescheduled Senior B League v Glen Rovers Friday 6th in Innishannon at 7:30pm Senior B Championship Draws 2011 The Senior B Championship is played on a round robin basis. The draws for this year’s Championship were made at a County Board meeting last week. Valley Rovers were drawn in Group 2 and are down to play Bishopstown, Killbrittain/Timoleague and Glen Rovers. The top two teams from this section will qualify for County Semi-finals. Website Please check camogie section on Valley Rovers website for updates on Camogie news Cork News The Cork U16 Camogie team unfortunately lost the replay to Tipperary in the All-Ireland Semi-Final on a scoreline of Tipperary 5.06 to Cork 1.06 Well done to Valley Rovers players Susan O'Leary, Leona Murphy and Aidan Crowley selector on their involvement. U12 Go-Games Blitz On Saturday next May 7th the U12's will take part in their second cluster Go-Games blitz in Carrigaline at 1pm.

Well done to Kevin Canty who played centre forward scoring 1-02 from play on the London Intercounty team that defeated Louth in the Nicky Rackard cup over the weekend. Kevin followed up on his man of the match performance the previous weekend in the narrow win over Roscommon where he scored six points from play with another excellent display. London are now in the Semi-final of the Nicky Rackard cup and we wish both Kevin and London well. Match reports of both the Roscommon and Louth games are available in the news section of the Valley Rovers website. Also on the website is an article that appeared in the Evening Echo on Thursday, April 28th, 2011 which featured an interview with Kevin after the Roscommon game. Lá na Club is on this coming Sunday hosted by the Camogie club. The club shop will also be launched on this day. All welcome Vol 1 Issue 14
