Longreach Market Report 25th July 2012 A very large yarding of 5323 head met a slightly softer meat works market this week in Longreach. The market eased due to huge numbers being presented that have been held up due to wet weeks. A classy yarding of bullocks topped at 173c/kg. Quality feeder steers bounced around the 190's. A smaller yarding of heavy cows in comparison to the numbers sold on the day, topping in the early 140's. Store steers sold to 218c/kg. A very large & tidy line of Droughtmaster heifers from Richmond weighing 250-300Kg sold to 186c/kg to restockers.
