The installations were performed by Lt. Governor Dan Andrews of Division 6 and Lt. Gov. Paul Lafleur of Division 8. The Kiwanian of the Year was presented to Jennifer Arenburg. Robert Pelchat received the Legion of Honor for 40 years and Glenn Tassey 25 years The ceremony was held at Sinibaldi’s Restaurant. An excellent attendance by the membership, family and friends. President Roland Olivier took command of the gavel as he opened his first Kiwanis meeting as the new Berlin club President. He had Tim B. start the group off with the pledge, followed with song from Bob L. and Francie V. with a prayer. Dan B., was the fine collector for the evening. Guest for the evening was Robbie Munce. Next week October 13th is normally tradition to have the covered dish supper. Due to the weather. The Camp Sawyer committee will close camp next week. The membership voted to have a Party sometimes in November Janet R. will look into it.

Key Club Meeting: On each Wednesday at 2:15 pm at Berlin High School in room 502 (currently on vacation for the summer)
K-Kids Meeting: every other Thursday at 4pm at the recreation room at Brookside Park. Check with Cecile Strout or Yvonne Thomas for date. (On vacation for the summer) Tom Gill Awards October 27th Christmas Parade December 5
The committee of Roland O., Gerry D., Paul L. and Dan B. met at Heritage Park with Main Street Program, Chamber and the Knights of Columbus to go over the Parade of Lights. Gerry reported that the date is set for December 5th., Parade will start at the 12th street bridge, and end at Heritage Park. This would double the distance of the parade route. Paul L. Spoke with Tracy Robinson and the tractor trailer will be available for us. Paul also spoke to Mike Caron of Caron Building and he has no issues with the Club building the float on Saturday and will make himself available for Sunday take down. Roland O., mentioned that the parade will start at 4pm Francie V. mentioned we have the Tom Gills awards coming in October. She has the plaques on order and the awards will be held on October 27th. President Roland O. has formed a committee of Gerry D, Susan G. Paul F. Priscilla C., and Paul L. to study into forming a Foundation

Secretary Ramblings:
All members Governors visit will take place on October 21st at Tuckerman’s in Intervale cost $25.00 per person. Contact Lt. Gov. Paul L. for more information.
Registration is now opened for the District Conference being held at the Grand Hotel in North Conway. All members should have received the information. Governor’s Visit Wednesday October 21st, Tuckerman’s Tavern Route 16A Intervale NH. Beginning at 5:15 pm

Robbie Munce Robbie is the Vice President of the Androscoggin Valley Lumberjacks Pop Warner football Association. He spoke that the Association started last year. Started by the federal prison guards. Several of the guards that had started the organization have been transferred out and other individuals stepped in to keep the program going. He explained how the program works. They have two teams one is the Junior Midget Division the other is the New Hampshire Unlimited. He explained each one of the teams. They use Memorial Field for their home games. There biggest expense is equipment each year. He mentioned that next year they may need to replace helmets and other items. They do various fund raisers for their organization.
