Let the numbers speak for themselves Once again the Berlin Club brings down the gavel on Colebrook and St. Johnsbury Club for the annual division Julio Poretta Bocce Tournament. It was a great evening and President Janet welcomed everyone in attendance to the games. The court was in great shaped and was prepared by Paul L and Maurice C. Referee for the evening was Tim B. Paul F was our commentator. The Star Spangled Banner was sung by Bob L. Berlin Team 1 Captain Jerry D. faced off against Colebrook Sonya S. And the Berlin team was quick to follow their Captain and gather points to an overwhelming victory. Team 2 Captain for Berlin Roland O. displayed terrific form as he took his leadership skills to bring his team to victory over St. Johnsbury for a win of 11 to 6. Following the games everyone enjoyed the cookout from Master Chef Glenn T. Glenn and his crew had the hot dogs and hamburgers ready for all. Our special guest for the evening was Jim & Nancy Hennessey who sponsor the tournament and make a donation to the winning club. Our thanks go out to Colebrook guest Denis, John F., John Forb., Judy, Sonya, Charlie Lyndy, Sarah, Mary, and St. Johnsbury Club Thad, Lucille, and Melanie and our Berlin guest. Janel, Chrissy, Tesa, Brianna, Laurie, Bill, Terri for making it a fun filled enjoyable evening. Next Tuesday is President’s night. Hope everyone can make it. NOTICE:
At the August 4th Board of Directors Meeting the Board Of Directors have made a recommendation for dues increase of $15.00 beginning of the new year. Voting for the increase will take place at the September 1 meeting due to President’s night. The board request that the membership approve the increase. Jaimie P. is collecting box tops for education. Members are asked to save them for Jaimie.
