President Podium: Its been a busy month of May for Berlin
President-Elect
Kiwanis and now we are back at Camp Sawyer. It was an outstanding turnout of the membership and President Roland thanked everyone for attending and hopes to see this size turnout at other future meetings. The meeting began with Jerry D with the Pledge followed by Francie V. with prayer and Bob L with song. Fine collector for the evening is Ashley L. President Roland then followed with introduction of guest which were Casandra guest of Jennifer A. Allison, guest of Susan G. And Jerry D. had his kid brother Bob. Thank you all for coming. Roland explained to our guest about Camp and the plan to have speakers this summer.

Tim B reported that 117 bicycle helmets were distributed at the rodeo. He explained about the various booths we had and how well _________________________________ the rodeo went. Extra helmets were left at the Berlin and Gorham PD and can be obtained anytime at no charge.

Jaimie B reported on the scholarship meeting and have selected four students for Berlin High School and two student from Gorham

A total of $5250 in scholarship will be presented. _________________________________ Presentation for Berlin will be June 5th at the High School and on June 10th at Gorham High. Since we had no meetings since May 3rd Janet R was able this week to bring forward the slate of officers for the new year. Our current President, President Elect. Treasurer will remain to serve _________________________________ the Club for an additional year. The secretary has been reappointed for another year. Other Happenings:
Happy dollars for this evening were from Bethany P., Jen A., Susan G., Jerry D., Janet R., Bob L., Roland O., Ashley L. and Glenn T., Fines are always in order and Bob L. tried to fine President Roland O. Not passed. Janet R. fined all the members whose picture were in the papers. Passed. President Roland spoke on the Day of Caring this Friday. It was agreed that we would pass it up this year since many of the members will be involved in other activities over the holiday weekend.

President Roland thanked the kitchen crew for an excellent meal. Master chef Glenn T. had a special thank you to new member Paul T. For his assistance in preparing the meal. (could this be the new chef for a 4th team ????) President Roland reported that the appeal on the camp taxes was only a slight reduction. President Roland will follow up on the report and keep us all posted.

President Roland mentioned that he and Francie V. went to Stand Up Androscoggin Valley event to show kids what we have for activities in our community . We had a table in between the K-Kids and Key Club. The event was well attended and we may have a possible new member from this activity. It gave our Club great exposure. A thank you card was passed throughout the members from the Bobcat girls softball teams.
