(F-R) Shea Cooney Treasurer , Elijah Gilchrist Co-President, Julie Cooney, Parent. (B-R) Elizabeth Gilchrist Secretary, Abigail Stewart Committee Chairman, and Renee Stewart Advisor. Renee spoke on the works of the K-kids. The kids took first place in the District for scrapbooking. They received 3rd place at the International level for their scrapbooking. Two years ago they got their first honor club patch. This past year they received their first Distinguished Club patch. The only Club in the entire District to receive this honor. They are doing trick-a-treat for Unicef, they done a road toll, They will be doing Operation Christmas Child, and they will be getting together with the key club to bring in their new officers and help them with their annual pie auction. They have 12 members in the K-Kids
President Podium:
President Roland O. opened this week meeting with a warm welcome to our K-Kids officers and K-Kid President Elijah Gilchrist started the Kiwanians with the Pledge to the Flag. Song by Bob L. followed by prayer from Diane B. Fine collector for the evening was Ashley L. President Roland passed out a flyer on Facing Heroin: Strengthening Our Community. There will be a meeting on Wednesday November 18 at the Berlin

K-Kids Meeting: every other Thursday at 4pm at the recreation room at Brookside Park. Check with Yvonne Thomas for date.
Christmas Parade December 5
High School cafeteria beginning at 5:30 PM. President Roland will be attending. To register Email: [email protected] or contact President Roland. Roland O. mentioned that he spoke to the tax collector for Camp Sawyer in Stark. Roland O. and Jerry D. will work and do some research to see if the tax can be reduced for next year. Roland O. mentioned that he will have members of our community on December 8 they will speak to us about our Club and what they would like to see our Club do for the community.
Committees:
Roland O. mentioned that the end of the year thanksgiving celebration of Camp Sawyer will be held at the Northland Dairy Bar on November 24th. bring in your raffle gifts. All members are asked to participate and bring a guest. All Clubs are welcomed to join us. Sect. Paul L. Spoke on the work on the float for the Christmas parade and everything is set to go. He mentioned that all lights were operating. Mike B. mentioned that he has a speaker system for the float.

Paul L. reminded everyone that fall conference will be held on November 20,21,22 please register on the District web site The Club Book is now available. If you didn’t get one at this week meeting see secretary Paul L for the book. Please check out your information in the book Address e-mail etc. If incorrect see Paul L to make corrections. Jaimie P. is collecting box tops for education. Members are asked to save them for Jaimie. Pop tabs are still being collected for the Kikids, turn them in to Yvonne T.
