2. Read Scripture: Matthew 24:14; 28:18-20
Truth • Believers today who are faithful to fulfilling the Great Commission may take the gospel to the last people groups on earth. Untruths • If people know nothing of Christ, it’s their responsibility to do something about it. • If people are sincere about their own religion, that’s just as good as Christianity. • God will let people who haven’t heard of Jesus into heaven because of their innocence.
3. Explore Scripture: Write what you want to remember about the Scriptures.
4. Think It Through: Stand with your back to the wall in a place where you have a clear path across the room. Say: The wall opposite me represents the completed task of getting the gospel to every person on earth. Walk a third of the way across the room. Say: In the early 1800’s, students my age were spiritually revived during the Second Great Awakening. That generation produced the first great wave of foreign missionaries. Walk two thirds of the way across the room. Say: In the early 1900’s, students my age were spiritually revived during the Global Awakening. This generation produced another wave of missionaries. Walk to the opposite wall. Say: If my generation is revived to Christ, we may go out in a great wave that will take the gospel to the last unreached groups on earth. 5. Nail It Down: A parent will lead this step. 6. Pray: Stand again by the wall that represents the completed task. Include this thought as you pray: Jesus, show each member of this family the part he or she should play in taking the gospel to the ends of the earth. 7. Blessing: Listen as your parent blesses the family. Teen Tip: Do you pray for those who don’t know Jesus? Make a list of 3-5 friends who don’t know Him and share it with your parents.
