Students will continue their study of Central America
Monday: Guided Reading Section 4, Assessment: Answer Places & Terms/Answer "taking notes"/Answer Main Idea questions/complete Geographic Thinking
Students will begin with the study of Chapter 10 -Central America and the Caribbean, Section 4 Students will explain the two major divisions of South America. Students will describe the the national culture of Brazil. Students will explain the economic strength of Brazil.
Tuesday: Lecture/(PPt.)/Notes/Discussion: History: a divided continent/A national culture/an economic giant awakens/Brazilian life today. Wednesday: Assign: Guided Reading-Making Comparisons, Finding Main Ideas/Map and Graph Skills/Identifying and Solving Problems/Reteaching -Reading Comprehension
Students will describe Brazilian life today. Students will quiz on chapter 10 section 4 Students will conclude the week with a current event that is within the context of World Geography (ie. flora/fauna, culture, and any unique event that sparks interest and learning. This lesson will also fulfill the students weekly writing.
Thursday: Chapter 10 Quiz, Section 4, Review Chapter 10 Friday: Test Chapter 10
