Mount Olive Baseball & Softball Association Meeting Minutes: Jan. 3rd 2017 Attendees:
President – Mike Mancini Registration: opened late December. 2016 rates in effect until 1/15/17. After that, $10 increase per player. Managers should notify previous season’s players Babe Ruth Tryouts Sat 1/21 & 1/28 @ 6:30 pm @ Complete Player - Babe Ruth Baseball Tryouts. Township Food training: 1st one is on Feb 8th for mostly Travel parents. 2nd one in late April for Rec parents. More info to follow. Baseball: No state tournaments this year for any age group. Awarded Regionals 1618U for Baseball. Softball Regionals moved to PA, not Mount Olive Budd Lake: another potential buyer in play, but should not affect the 2017 season High School Clinic: info to be posted online soon Somerset Patriots: Sat June 17th Rec Coaches/Managers: interested candidates should send an email to Asbury or Smith for Baseball/Softball respectively. 8U baseball Travel team: still looking for more players to form a team. Vice President of Softball – Rich Smith March 18th: Beefsteak Dinner. Vice President of Babe Ruth – Bill Asbury Nothing Secretary – Snehal Desai Proposed ByLaw: revise the minimum amount of innings from 1 inning to 2 innings for Baseball, and the players sitting s/b conducted within the 1st 4 innings of the game. Will be reviewed by Board and decision made to see if this ByLaw change will be up for voting in January. Board decision was to have the existing rules in place remain in effect without the proposed ByLaw be voted on. Treasurer – Pete DiMaggio Not present Player Agent – Nate Richardson Need to get word out about Registration Equipment Director – James Gallagher Not present Head Groundskeeper – Sam Hollien nothing Publicity Director – Eugene Galdi nothing
