Longreach Market Report 14th November 2012 A yarding of 4030 head met a mixed market in Longreach yesterday. The export cattle being 5c to 15c better; with limited numbers of bullocks penned, the heavy Bullocks over 600kg topped at 175.2c/kg, feeder Steers 400500kg with numbers tight, making to 175.2c/kg to average 166.5c/kg. Light feeder steers 300-400kg making out to 184.2c/kg. The cow market was 3-7c better this week with heavy cows over 520kg topping at 155.2c/kg and Cows 400-500 to 156.2c/kg. Fat Heifers over 400kg topped at 172.2c/kg to average 154.8c/kg. Good quality store Steers topped at 208c/kg with the weaner Heifers making to 191.2c/kg. A quality pen of young Brahman cross Cows and Calves sold to $687.50
